Te'lyor looked without a flicker of emotion at Lek'thor. He was a strong man, a fine officer- if she had been human, a smile would have come onto her face- he would make a fine mate. She couldn't repress a slight glimmer in her eyes as she surveyed him. As for the man sitting next to her, he seemed...she didn't know how to explain it, even to herself.
"I have been with the Forces for several years, Captain." Te'lyor began with her explanation, taking the lead before the other could jump in. "I am skilled in the arts of subterfuge and stealth, and have experience with both."
((OOC: rather sketchy. The muse is broken, apparently.))

"Hmmm, go on. What station would you like to have run and why? I am making sure my bridge crew are the best. What other qualifications do you have Te'lyor?"
Once more he took a slow deliberate drink from his glass of Blood wine. He then reached for another cup and poured Te'lyor a glass of the ol' brew to enjoy herself. Still he did not blink. Stones were more readable then Lek'thor's face. Once he had poured her drink he clasped his hands together one more and listened to her continue.

It surprised him, to be asked that question; he had been so certain that Lek'thor had already made up his mind. It seemed that the Klingon was willing, however, to seriously consider what they were about to say - thus what he said would have to be very Klingon, and very impressive, and an outright lie, though neither Lek'thor nor Te'lyor would know this was so, because Ru'kal was a very powerful, and honourable warrior. His great dishonour was his capture, but all that knew of it were dead, aside from the Klingon who was now in a high-security cell deep in Cardassian territory.
He did not want to interrupt Te'lyor and Lek'thor; he would wait for her to finish before advertising himself - or rather, Ru'kal.
((OOC: Is interrupting dishonourable? Or is it smiled upon? I don't know Klingons very well since most of what I've seen of them is from DS9.))

(OOC:Interupting is not dishonorable but could be frowned upon if the Klingon your interupting considers themselves your better.)

"I would like to be the first officer, of course sir. I have been serving as a tactical officer for the past several years, and I would like to continue my career track." Te'lyor said, her voice still nearly emotionless.

"Tactical? Are you a good tactician Te'lyor? Yes is the answer, you are. That is why your sitting before me now. I have heard your reasoning. Ru'Kal, why should you be my first officer?"
(OOC:Good to see you Mira, I was concerned there for a bit.)

((OOC: Once the ship launches, btw, I suggest a party. Lots of bloodwine and gagh. I wish gagh were real; it looks so delicious. I'm not kidding.))
After Mira answered Lek'thor's last question, and the Klingon captain turned to him. Hibarin was not nervous; either he got the First Officer position, or he got the Second Officer position. Either would do him well and would mean he would be working closely with Lek'thor and his crew.
Thus, he used the knowledge he had gathered about Ru'kal, which was almost 99.9% accurate because Cardassian interrogation techniques were, quite simply, the most advanced in the Alpha Quadrant.
"For all of my life, I have known battle. From the first targ I speared as a boy, to the Cardassians and the Tzenkethi, glorious battle has always been a part of my life. Both my father and mother were great warriors, and they passed on their knowledge and skills to me. My previous postings have always been in Security. And on those ships I have maintained order among the crew and ensured we were not breached by our enemies. For many of those we fought use underhanded methods to fight...very dishonourable, but I uncovered several of them and we forced them to face us in honourable combat."
He continued. "Regardless of which you choose me for - First or Second Officer - I will happily and loyally serve wherever I am needed. I am skilled with ship piloting, and I have decent knowledge of Engineering. I am a tactician as well. My specialty is hand-to-hand rather than ship-to-ship, however. But Tel'yor has made it clear that she is very capable at handling a ship's weapons."
He added, "And there is a rumour about that when I get close to someone in the midst of glorious battle, I become so in tune that I can read their minds." His part-Betazoid heritage would come in handy here. That was a rumour he had spread himself on a prior mission after being altered to look like Ru'kar. And it was no lie.
But he didn't want to talk them all to boredom. They were not Cardassians, after all; Klingons were more action, less chatting. "As for the rest, you will find that out as the three of us work and fight side-by-side. I trust your judgment, and I look forward to seeing which of us you choose."

Lek'thor looked at them both in turn with those unblinking eyes. He took a sip of his Blood Wine and set his glass down on the surface of his desk. He then got up and reached for a goblet and set it on the table. He took out his Qis he slit his hand with the blade and crimson power poured into the goblet. He set the goblet in the center and looked to each to do the same as he had just did. He said nothing, his face as unreadable as stone.
(It does though. So does Klingon Blood Pie. When we achieve victory in combat there will not only be Blood Wine but War Nog!)

Hibarin watched Lek'thor perform the ritual, then he removed his Qis from his belt. He sliced his hand with the blade, and held it over the goblet, and watched as Cardassian blood - luckily, about the same shade of red as that of a Klingon - joined Lek'thor's in the goblet.
(Awesome! Klingons do party hard!)

Watching Ru'kal add his own he waited for Te'lyor to add her own blood to the concoction.

Te'lyor pulled her Qis out, sliced her hand without a moments hesitation, and let the blood from the wound flow into the cup, mingling with that of the others.

Lek'thor mixed their blood together diped a thumb in their blood and put a thumb print on each of their head including his own. He siped some of the mixed blood and past to the cup to Te'lyor.
"Drink, then pass it to Ru'kal so that he may finnish the drink."

An ordinary Cardassian might have been disgusted with this rite, but Hibarin was only slightly disgusted, but it would not show on his features. Once Te'lyor had taken her sip and handed it to him, he sipped it as well.

"The one is three, the three are one. Together we three are legion. We do this to strengthen the bond of our blood and camaraderie. I have taken what you both have said to heart and I have com to my decision. Congratulations first La' Te'lyor. Tactical you will be on. Second La' Ru'kal I wish for you to be on the engineering station on the bridge as well as security. If something escapes my eyes they must get past yours as well. I believe there is a celebration in store before we take off. Inform the crew, break out the Blood Wine."

Te'lyor nodded to Lek'thor in acknowledgement. She was pleased, but wasn't about to show it.
